Akubo is an entrepreneur, strategy, consultant, project manager, trainer and business executive. He is the Managing Partner CEO and oversees all aspects of its operations.
He has several years experience in project management, strategic financial management, business management and entrepreneurship development. He has worked and consulted in sectors such as agricultural value chain, banking, international development non-profit , public sector, and enterprise creation and management. In addition to setting up and managing businesses, he is also on the board of some companies.
His drive for entrepreneurship and enterprise development has seen him work with individuals and groups to start and manage business and also work on enterprise development programs. He was part of the team of enterprising Nigerians who contributed to the creation and management of the Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria (YouWiN) project in. During the three iterations of the business plan competition (2013-2016), he was the Deputy Team Lead, and was primarily responsible for training and monitoring to over businesses in all states in Nigeria who received grants of between 1m and 10m naira.
As a project Manager, he was worked as Program Manager for Internews in Nigeria on projects funded by USAID, and Head of Operations of the SURE-P Graduate Internship Program GIS funded by the government of the Federal Republic of Nigerian. In years, the project mobilised, trained and placed over , graduates as interns in partner organisations in every state in Nigeria. This is in addition to his work on YouWiN and several other projects with groups and individuals.
As a trainer and consultant, has developed training materials and facilitated trainings in project management, entrepreneurship, strategic planning, organisational development, leadership, conflict management, and NGO management. His current training and consulting interests are in strategy development, business leadership, project management and enterprise development.
As a business leader, he was General Manager with Arewa Cotton a commodities processing and trading company , and the Managing Partner at Management Alternatives Limited MAL , a company he co-founded and is providing consulting services in enterprise development, strategy consulting, training, HR and finance outsourcing.
He is also currently Managing Director of Madaki Agro Services Limited, a company that is making real impact in farming and trading of agricultural commodities in Nigeria. Madaki works with key stakeholders to unlock opportunities in the agricultural sector.
Mr. Adegbe has a BSc in Geography from the University of Jos Nigeria and an MSc in Instrumental Analytical Sciences from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen UK .He has also attended several local and international trainings in finance,organisational development, project management and entrepreneurship development.
